 2004-08-04 5:53 p.m. today we stood in the hot sun and practiced recollections and national day songs! what patriotic singaporeans we are! and we also sang majula singapura 576912 times. this is to make up for all the mornings since primary three (after my tragically late discovery of finding out that half the school population do not sing but mouth the words only!) that i have stopped singing the national anthem. national day celebrations should be cancelled! they bring out the worst in all of us! (ld members especially) and every year, so many girls fall like dominoes to the ground because we stand in the sun for such a long time: -singing the national day anthem -watching ld do the same thing every year i think everyone has memorised recollections -sing stupid national day songs that leave us quite upset because they dont give us song sheets (not like we want them) but still.. they like to think we know the words to every national day song ahh those stupid gits! so this entry is very senseless but i speak for every SJC girl. we should do away with celebrating national day and make it a holiday so all of us can stay at home and do more productive things like sleep or eat or something :D |
